Use trustless tools to grow your DAO treasury
Create proposals to deposit funds in Morpho vaults or stake ETH on Lido with no intermediaries; Catch up on our conversation with Open Dollar; Hiring for a Senior Frontend Engineer.
What’s New
How do you grow a DAO treasury without sacrificing decentralization and trustlessness? Using dApp Connect on the Aragon App, you can connect to Morpho to deposit funds in a vault and earn yield, or Lido to stake ETH. Learn how to in the highlight below.
We hosted an X space with Joseph, founder of Open Dollar, to discuss multiprocess governance in DAOs and the variety of mechanics they’re using to build secure and effective governance. Listen to the recording.

Use trustless tools to grow your DAO treasury
Managing and growing a DAO treasury with onchain yield is important for the long term viability of a DAO, but how do you do so trustlessly and transparently? dApp Connect enables DAOs to connect to external contracts. This week we featured two key players in the DeFi space, Morpho and Lido, and how you can use their protocols directly from the Aragon App.
Earn yield from Morpho
Morpho is a lending protocol on Ethereum. Supply assets in vault or borrow funds using their app. Here’s how:
Step 1: Create a proposal. First, create a proposal in the Aragon App. Add a title and description. Then, choose a start and end date for the vote and click "Next."
Step 2: Connect to Morpho. Click "Add Action" and "Connect dApp." Open the Morpho app in a new tab. Click "Connect Wallet" and select Wallet Connect. Copy the Wallet Connect address. Keep this tab open. Go back to the Aragon App and paste in the address.
Step 3: Add the actions to your proposal. Go back to the Morpho tab. You'll notice that your DAO address is displayed as the wallet connection. Add your actions, then go back to the Aragon App to approve the actions. Add them to your proposal and publish.
Stake ETH with Lido
Lido is the most popular liquid staking provider in the Ethereum ecosystem, and also a DAO built on the Aragon legacy OS. They make it easy to stake your ETH to earn yield and help secure Ethereum. Here’s how to do that from your DAO:
Step 1: Create a proposal. First, create a proposal in the Aragon App. Add a title and description. Then, choose a start and end date for the vote and click "Next."
Step 2: Connect to Lido. Click "Add Action" and "Connect dApp." Open the Lido app in a new tab. Click "Connect Wallet" and select Wallet Connect. Copy the Wallet Connect address. Go back to the Aragon App and paste in the address. This will create the connection.
Step 3: Add the actions to your proposal. Go back to the Lido tab. You'll notice that your DAO address is displayed as the wallet connection. Add your staking actions, then go back to the Aragon App to approve the actions. Add them to your proposal and publish!
In both of these examples, the step following proposal creation is to wait for the DAO or multisig members to vote. If the proposal passes, the actions can be executed by any wallet. Go to the Finance page on the Aragon App to see that the actions have completed!
Start depositing, staking, and earning from your DAO:
