Current Forum Proposals:
CIP 0 Governance proposal: historic versioning
Update the current AN DAO Charter v1.0.0 to AN DAO Charter v1.1.0 1, which includes the changes of AN DAO Charter v1.0.1 1.
November 2021 edits were not ratified, due to competing priorities and limited resources. It is important to state these changes do not alter the legal interpretation of AN DAO Charter v1.0.0.
Voting: July 22 - August 4
CIP 1 Governance Proposal: Edit the Aragon Network Charter to be tech agnostic
The proposal aims to update the current Aragon Network DAO Charter to be tech agnostic. In multiple places, the Charter currently stipulates the use of Aragon Voice, Govern, or Court which, due to functionality, limits our ability to govern effectively.
The dGov team proposes to entirely remove (when possible) or edit all references that specify the use of Aragon Govern, Voice, or Court. This would enable the use of more efficient and effective tech agnostic mechanisms, resulting in improved transparency and collective governance of the AN DAO.
Read the Aragon Network DAO Charter.
Voting: July 14-28
CIP 2 Governance Proposal: quorum, notification period, majority & reasonable means
The proposal aims to have ANT holders approve changes to the Aragon Network DAO Charter with respect to the Aragon Network DAO Agreement. These recommendations are to enable ANT holders to effectively iterate the Charter, to establish by collective design a living document - as the foundation of AN DAO governance - a document that is easier to read, understand and interact with.
Voting: July 14 - 28
Financial Proposal: Aragon DAO x Galleon: Delta-neutral, Yield Generating Strategy
The purpose of the Galleon x Aragon treasury diversification proposal is to provide Aragon with a low-risk, high-yield return on treasury assets. Given crypto market volatility, Galleon has just launched a new product to help with stability: The Basis Yield ETH Index (BYE). This product is a candidate to generate sustainable yield for the DAO, and discussions are ongoing on the forum.

Closing Thoughts: Strategy vs. Execution
A short closing thought for the week from the Comms team.
As we work on transitioning the entire Aragon ecosystem into a DAO governed by ANT, it’s essential to think about the difference between strategy and execution.
Strategy is important, but all that truly matters is execution.
Juliette shared this article on How to Move from Strategy to Execution, which is a great weekend read as we tackle this problem ourselves. The writers argue that a good strategy with high-enough goals paired with the right organization style and effective management is the best combination for great execution. But getting those three elements in place? Not so easy.
The best way to think about strategy on a personal level is this: Is the work you’re doing moving us forward? Is it stalling, or is it back-tracking? For Aragon to succeed, relentless forward motion is necessary. What does “forward motion” look like in your specific place in the ecosystem?
The article includes this quote from Thomas Eddison: “Vision without implementation is just hallucination.”
What are you doing to help your fellow Aragonians execute this transition?
Have a splendid weekend, Aragon!
