Announcing Aragon Xâs New CEO
A message from Anthony:
Today I am proud to announce that I have stepped up as the new CEO of Aragon X, to lead the development and growth of the Aragon project.
My goal: get Aragon back to doing what it does best, building innovative technology.
The mission for Aragon X, the team behind Aragon OSx and Aragon App, remains the same: to enable onchain organizations to experiment with governance at the speed of software. We envision a world where humans can coordinate by the rule of code, reducing the need for enforcement by trusted systems, often through the use of force.
We had a wild 2023 filled with high highs and low lows, and the launch of our new tech stack - Aragon OSx and App - was the highlight we had all dreamed about. It is what gave us strength and allowed us to lay a strong foundation to propel us into this new year. Most importantly, on the other side of our restructure, we find ourselves with a lean, passionate, and experienced team of builders. The most important asset we have are these builders, their experiences, and their commitment to the mission.
Aragon was founded on the idea that we were at a global turning point. We would either see technology lead to a more free, open, and fair society; or reinforce a global regime of centralized control, surveillance, and oppression. It was a call to action: a fight for freedom. We feel the pressure of expectations set before our time: to fulfill an ambitious mission that is bigger than any one of us. It's why we joined the fight in the first place and why we are still here.
Just like any organization, this team needs to be put in an environment to succeed, and thatâs exactly what I intend to do. By putting the project into the hands of builders, we are finally in a position to take this new tech stack to the next level, decentralize the protocol safely, and serve the needs of the next generation of DAOs.
I want to send a big thank you to everyone that has supported the team in the last year and pushed us towards reaching our mission. Onchain governance models such as DAOs are essential to advance the values of Ethereum, particularly as the ecosystem grows and gains adoption.
One of the most important things I can do beyond setting this team up for success is to speak with and learn from you, the builders of the Ethereum ecosystem. So please donât hesitate to reach out with any questions or comments at anthony at aragon dot org or smash reply on twitter. There is nothing more Iâd like to hear than your voice. Iâll be sending more open and honest updates as I make my way along this journey. Your support means a lot. This is a new beginning, so buckle up for a new and great adventure!
Thank you, onwards and upwards!
Sincerely,
Anthony
