The Aragon treasury is moving more of its funds towards censorship-resistant assets and holdings that reflect our values. We continue to hold the majority of the treasury on-chain, in self-custody.
We published a new blog post, DAO Frameworks : How to Code a DAO with Aragon Smart Contracts, a deep dive into the smart contracts behind DAOs.
Artem and Arnau presented work the Aragon ZK Research team has done at Eth Gathering Barcelona last week! To learn more, read their blog.
Highlight of the week: Doubling down on non-custodial and censorship-resistant assets
As the FTX fallout continues to expose the failures of centralized infrastructure, we continue to reinforce our values by building a new protocol, decentralizing our governance and reinvesting our treasury.
In the past week, we have decided to double down on what’s important for the future of Aragon and the industry : self-custody and censorship-resistance.
We hold over 90% of our treasury on-chain, in self-custody. Recent events have only reinforced what we know to be critical for sovereignty and security. You can track this portion of the treasury here.
We’re putting more of our money where our mouth is, by taking the following steps :
Re-balancing our portfolio to increase our exposure to ETH and BTC :
$10,000,000 USDC for ETH
973.45 wBTC (≈$15,000,000) for ETH
324.485 wBTC (≈$5,000,000) for BTC
Increasing our stablecoin holdings in DAI :
$20,000,000 USDC to DAI
Building a partnership pipeline with the goal of further decentralizing both our treasury and the Ethereum ecosystem.
Here is the new distribution of our treasury :
Moving more of our treasury to ETH, DAI and BTC improves our security and censorship-resistance, by reducing our exposure to assets that are at risk of mismanagement or interference by centralized forces.
We review the Aragon treasury on an ongoing basis, and over time it will be transferred to the Aragon DAO. You can track the status of the Aragon DAO transition by subscribing to the Eagle and participating in the Forum discussions.

Practices: ways of working in the Aragon DAO
This is the last TLDR of the Aragon DAO discussions. On Friday, we discussed Practices.
Practices are ways of working established by guilds and team members. Some examples are meeting styles, compensation, and intra-team authority/decision-making.
They’re not enforced, but rather spread throughout the organization by the best practices catching on to other guilds.
Alex Myers presented Agile as an example of a practice that guilds could use, but is not required or enforced in any way.
Financial proposal: Mastering DAO program
Mike Ananyin is proposing to provide a program that delivers a full-scope universal governance template that simplifies interaction between members of the organization, structures informational flow and formulates bonding agreements.
$76,000 for 30+ participants during 10 weeks of the program.
Forum Updates
We created a new category in the Forum for all things related to delegation in the Aragon DAO. Those interested in becoming Delegates are encouraged to introduce themselves and get the conversation started.
